Ark Animal Clinic Covid-19 Preparedness And Response Plan For Our Clients And Staff – June 29, 2021
Beginning Tuesday July 6, 2021, Ark Animal Clinic will be changing our curbside only Policy. Recently, the State lifted most of the required restrictions allowing Ark to transition back to normal inside clinic client appointments.
Many clients over the last year have told us they preferred curbside treatment, with only the pet entering the clinic for treatment and the client waiting in their car until the procedures were completed. Due to the popularity of curbside appointments, Ark will be offering both curbside and in person appointments for most procedures beginning July 6. The client must designate which type of service they want at the time the appointment is made. Appointments for procedures such as vaccines, toe nail trims, anal gland expressions, or pick-up of medication refills, etc., will be done preferably curbside in order to minimize the number of clients in the waiting area. Ark will continue with cleaning and sanitizing protocols to keep the clinic safe for staff, clients and patients.
Clients choosing to come into the clinic with their pet must wear a mask due to the fact that exam rooms are closed rooms (about 120 square feet) requiring relatively close contact with clinic staff, the doctor and the client. The client may bring only one person with them into the clinic. That person will also be required to wear a mask. The doctor and technical staff will also wear masks in the exam room. This portion of our appointment protocol is structured for staff and client safety. It will be reviewed regularly with our goal of getting back to a mask free policy as soon feasible. Thank you for your patience and your ongoing commitment to making Ark Animal Clinic, “Your Hometown Vet”.
Sincerely,
